Job Title: MRI Technologist

Salary: $89,000.00 - $131,000.00 per year

Signing Bonus: $15,000 for FT position; $5,000 relocation assistance possible

• Must be a graduate of an approved school that fulfills the ARRT requirements for primary or secondary pathway education in MRI.
\n
• Must be ARRT registered, with MRI designation.
\n
• Minimum of 1-2 years of MRI experience

Job Description:

Under general supervision of the MRI Manager, and following established policies and procedures, operates a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images for use by physicians in diagnoses and treatment of pathologies. The technologist provides technical and ancillary support to the department mission through demonstrated clinical and academic competency in MRI. Clinical and academic competency is defined as completing training and meeting all clinical responsibilities to all areas assigned, ability to work unsupervised in the clinical setting, willingness to rotate to all areas as the need arises, and holding appropriate registration and advanced certification, as required by the ARRT and the ACR.

Requirements:

\n
• Must be a graduate of an approved school that fulfills the ARRT requirements for primary or secondary pathway education in MRI.
\n
• Must be ARRT registered, with MRI designation.
\n
• BLS required.
\n
• MRI specific classroom experience a plus.
\n

Experience:

\n
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and medical terminology with the analytical skills to effectively utilize knowledge towards imaging processes, techniques, and procedures.
\n
• Working knowledge of Radiology Information Systems (RIS) and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
\n
• Ability to rely on experience, judgment, and time management skills to plan and accomplish goals.
\n
• Must present a positive, team-oriented attitude and a professional appearance.
\n
• Ability to adhere to safety standards set forth by the Radiology Department, and other regulatory agencies.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and all/any apprehensions, to instruct students and to interact with other staff technologists.
\n
• Ability to work cooperatively with members of the healthcare delivery team and staff, ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and work schedule; to set priorities and solve problems; to respond quickly to emergency requests.
\n
