Embark on a rewarding opportunity supporting K–12 students as a school-based Occupational Therapist! This contract position serves multiple sites across Hendry County, providing impactful services to children and adolescents striving for success in their school environments.

As you work throughout the county—including the vibrant area near Alva, FL—you’ll use your expertise to develop creative interventions and collaborate with school personnel, making a meaningful difference in students’ lives. Travel between assigned schools will be required, and assignments are determined over the summer to best match your strengths and preferences.

Qualifications:

• Current, active Occupational Therapist license in Florida
• Previous experience in a school setting is preferred, helping you transition seamlessly into the role
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, essential for working with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Willingness and ability to travel throughout the Hendry County area

Key Responsibilities:

• Evaluate students’ needs and develop individualized treatment plans to enhance participation in school activities
• Deliver direct therapy services, both individually and in groups, focused on improving educational outcomes
• Consult and partner with teachers, staff, and families to support students’ goals and progress
• Manage a caseload spanning multiple schools, adapting to the varied needs of each campus
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and compliance with district and state guidelines
