\n \nWork as independent adjuster from home on our claims management system.
\n \nLooking for 1 candidate to join our team. Must have 5 years of Property Damage and 3-5 years of Bodily Injury experience.
\n \nResponsibilities for Claims Adjuster
\n• Responsible for handling moderate-to-high complexity personal auto liability losses, including litigated claims.
\n• Makes timely and appropriate contacts with interested parties, including, but not limited to the insured, claimant/attorney, witnesses and producers.
\n• Determines, reviews and analyzes coverages that may or may not apply to the claim; Plans, executes and reviews investigations-coverage, liability and/or damages – including the securing of a signed or recorded statement of the insured, claimant and/or witnesses.
\n• Discusses possible coverage issues with supervisor and drafts coverage positions as applicable. Obtains medical records and reports; police ambulance and agency reports; photographs and measurements; and, expert assistance/testimony.
\n• Applies facts, as determined by contacts and investigation, to the law of a particular jurisdiction to properly evaluate exposure.
\n• Establishes indemnity and expense reserves as the claim transpires.
\n• Controls and manages claims-related expenses; determines and executes plans of action to resolution, including the avoidance/minimization of litigation.
\n• Identifies issues (coverage, liability, damages, handling) and seeks appropriate guidance and communicates pursuant to authority structure.
\n• Determines and fulfills reporting requirements to supervisor/manager, Home Office, SIU, client companies and reinsurers.
\n \nQualifications for Claims Adjuster
\nDemonstrated leadership ability.
\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.
\nExcellent customer service skills.
\nAbility to adapt to shifting priorities; effectively handle and prioritize multiple projects/tasks to meet deadlines.
\nMust have strong computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office and Outlook.
\nYou should be detailed oriented, organized, and have a passion for excellence.
